Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and a writer. She is most well recognized as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s she began her career as an actress on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions until she made it famous in the national stage space with Li'l Abner' in the year 1957. The album was released by her Too Late for Tina in the same year. Louise started the first phase of her Hollywood career in 1958, in which she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. It was an enormous success and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time she enrolled into Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection to Lee Strasberg as his student. Her next memorable role came with the year 1964, when she was signed by CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise maintained a successful career, balancing Broadway television with Hollywood and portraying an empathetic rather than the glamour doll image she was perceived. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series starred her as SG-1's Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she has also become a renowned director for popular TV programs like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 29th August in 1965. The family relocated to Toronto around the age of three. Her childhood was spent there as well as her adolescence. After being chosen for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and is a resident of Vancouver ever for the last ten years.
